A special taping of Cityline

March has been extremely difficult for me. I have been in a bit of a funk these last few weeks. The cold weather has caused my bones to ache. The headaches continue to plague me. Each day just seemed to roll into the next with nothing to look forward too. I have not felt like this before.
It’s an awful feeling. I might even go as far as admitting that I was falling into a depression. I spent much of the month indoors and did not enjoy the usual get together or time with family and friends that I would normally. Fortunately I did realize my frame of mind and was able to address and try to deal with it. My medoc became slightly concerned and decided that we would move the scans up by a few weeks. So we completed treatment #7 of Vinorelbine and scheduled scans for April 9th. Results will decide our next steps.
In my funk, I did manage to enjoy a day out with my BFF Mary. We attended a special taping of Cityline – Life Beyond Cancer (which aired today). The audience was filled cancer survivors, some of whom I have met through my own journey. We enjoyed many inspirational stories from the panel members. Everyone has been touched by cancer. Some stories have happy endings and some don’t but the journey is always inspirational. Whatever our struggle is we are not alone, this is so important to remember.
Easter weekend is upon us. Blessings as you enjoy special time with your family, good food and Easter egg hunts. Be sure to spend a moment to reflect on the meaning of Easter and all the blessings that you are grateful for. Happy Easter and Smazcnego jajka to all my family and friends!
